New NSX does a 7'37" Already

UPDATE: Just had another nod from our spy bloke at the 'Ring. This time he's managed to snap a picture of the NSX's interior complete with paddle shifters.

I think it's fair to say that most people are getting a little bit saturated by yet another headline 'Ring lap time done by the GT-R.

In fact it would seem that some people are so cross that they are about to go all out to pour water on its bonfire. Takeo Fukui - the CEO of Honda - is one such chap, and he has charged his engineers with making the new NSX lap the Nordschleife even faster than the R35.

So far, we reckon the car will have a proper i-VTEC V10 which will scream to 9,000rpm and boast around 550bhp. Expect the de rigueur paddle shift twin clutch 'box too.

We know the GT-R will do a 7min 29, but we have just had some breaking news that the NSX in current prototype form has been clocked by a spy snapper running a 7min 37 in traffic.

Just how fast can this car go? Who knows… but I imagine the V-Spec GT-R might also be beaten by this NSX. Roll on the Ring battle.
