    • Next time your find yourself on the A1, just after the turn for the A14, somewhere around Sawtry, thank your lucky stars you weren't there in 1998 when a man from Japan did this. By the way, the voice you can hear (not the Japanese one) is Nick Trott. For the record, the car hit is top speed on its second run, but was struggling for power, because we only had 96 octane fuel available. The bonnet had to be taped down too... So much air was getting underneath it, it actually got bent. Ahhh. Happy memories. Or at least they were until the fuzz turned up and confiscated the car and all of the video.

    • Race Retro Highlights

    • By far the best bit of Race Retro was the live rally stage featuring cars from the 70s and 80s being put through their paces. Some cars were driven more enthusiastically than others and the stage was a bit mickey mouse, but it was nice to see a few getting wrung out - especially the mark one Escort driven by Bjorn Waldegard.

    • Reiter engineering is a German company which makes Lamborghinis go very very fast indeed. I'd stake a fair wodge of cash on them being involved in the development of the improved Gallardo that'll be shown in Geneva. Until I snap pics of that car next week, get your ears round this.

    • Twin Turbo Ford GT

    • If there was one thing that wasn't missing from the new Ford GT it was power, but Heffner Performance decided that there was still more to come from the V8. Two turbos and who knows how many horsepower later and you have the undisputed burn-out king. Vid courtesy of Heffner Performance.

    • Sibling Rivalry

    • Usually Terry Grant donuts his TVR, Legend or Evo, but at this year's Autosport show he got his hands on a Gallardo, with pretty spectacular results.

    • Thanks to Ferrari's appeal to the poseurs of this world, it's rare to see cars getting a hammering on track, so enjoy this video of exactly that.

    • While the manufacturer has gone a bit quiet, it's nice to remember what established the Noble name in the first place.
