If you've ever spent more than a
little time playing Gran Turismo, it's quite
likely that at some point you'll have
considered that your long-honed virtual
skills would translate directly to reality.
Nissan has decided to offer you the chance
to prove it, by entering its newly-created
GT Academy.
To be in with a
shout, entrants must register via PS3 to
compete in a special online tournament on
GT5 Prologue. These events will initially be
national competitions, before race-winners
are whittled down.
The two ultimate winners of
the GT5 competitions will then embark on a
four-month training programme to earn their
racing licences. Ultimately, the winners
will form part of the real-life Nissan team
entered in the 24-hour endurance race in
Dubai in January 2009.
The
Academy goes live at the end of May, so get
stuck in.
