Subaru has released some pics of the
car it has entered in the 'Ring 24 hour
race.
The STI team has gone down the Lexus
route of fielding an experienced team of
race drivers in a relatively standard car
under the premise of treating the race as an
extended test.
In order to go racing, the interior has
been stripped; roll cage, racing brakes,
suspension and instruments added; and
that’s pretty much it.
The car will run a bigger radiator and
modified crank case ventilation system, but
apart from that it’s pretty much
standard fare.
Subaru is hoping for a class win in the
SP6 class for cars with engines from 3.0 to
3.5 litres in capacity.
